We only had 2 nights here but enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and charged us to another room after I had a minor issue with our first room. The two rooms we saw were basic but fine and they provide a kettle and tea bags. It was pretty quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was basic Indian curry but they also offered omelette which was nice. It’s a good location with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We went to a great Asian restaurant called Mama Goto Fusion for lunch and Little Italy restaurant almost opposite for dinner which was very good too though neither of which served alcohol . We found a bar that served alcohol nearby called Secret Story. For our sightseeing we used Red Taxi when we could which was very good and cheap and the odd tuk tuk. Something to note that whilst all the rooms had windows you can’t actually see out of them as they seem to be frosted glass and also covered with mozzie screen. I like to see out but it was only for 2. nights and we were out most of the days anyway. Would recommend .

There are a number of Hanu Reddy Residences in Chennai. My husband and I stayed at the one in Wallace Gardens for 4 nights in late February. We reserved our room for the night before our very early morning arrival. We let the hotel know our flight information and the time that we expected to arrive, and they made sure someone was on duty to check us in. (Press the bell next to the front door.) Our room (#5) was a large, comfortable, if a little tatty, front-facing room with a ceiling fan and a/c. The bed had a good, firm mattress. Good water pressure in the shower, however the bathroom was scruffy. Daily cleaning, with fresh towels, toilet paper, toiletries, and a large bottle of water. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included in our reservation: A small buffet as well as freshly cooked eggs, dosas, poori, and so on. We had dinner at the hotel one night, and it was tasty and filling. The hotel has a large rooftop that could be developed into a pleasant space for guests.

excellent location in a quiet tree lined locality, with almost no traffic to disturb the tranquil atmosphere of the guesthouse. Clean, spacious well appointed rooms, equipped with tea- coffee maker and fridge. Efficient and helpful staff are always attentive to guests needs, ensuring guests are well looked after. A hearty breakfast is served with care. Lunch and dinner available on request. High level of safety and security, suitable for single women for whom safety is a priority. overall, I always enjoy a very comfortable stay. A home away from home.

Excellent location in a very safe and quiet area with international restaurants and supermarket nearby. Room was comfortable with kettle and tea/coffee and good amenities. Breakfast offered good choice of dishes (fruits, tea/coffee, dosa, idly, omelette and toast). Staff could not have been more helpful throughout. I stayed in a room in the annex building just a few doors down and there was a staff member there at all times so it felt safe.

The room was comfortable and the shower was separated by a wall and a curtain from the rest of the bathroom. There was a nice terrace on the first floor. The staff were helpful, especially Ranjan, who assisted us in getting tuk-tuks and advising us on shopping facilities. He also phoned our taxi driver when he was late coming to pick us up. Breakfast was adequate, with a choice of Indian or European food.
